The tail end of Monday’s storm left much of the Bay Area unusually chilly this morning, with temperatures in some places dipping into freezing temperatures.
Santa Rosa and Napa both hit 32 degrees early this morning, while other cities across the region were in the 40s: San Francisco hit 45 degrees, Oakland dipped to 40 and San Jose found a compromise at 43 degrees.
Most of the Bay Area should warm up Tuesday to the upper 50s or low 60s, but it will still be unseasonably cool.
“We’re looking at 5 to 10 degrees colder than normal across the region,” said Matt Mehle, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Monterey.
