An accident with injuries Tuesday morning in the westbound lanes of Highway 4 prompted California Highway Patrol to issue a severe traffic alert.
The accident occurred around 7:17 a.m. just west of San Marco Boulevard in Concord, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash involved a green Honda Civic, a silver Honda Civic and a third vehicle, according to CHP’s incident log.
As of 7:34 a.m., the left lanes remained blocked.
There is no estimated time to reopen the lanes, and CHP advised drivers to avoid the area due to significant delays.
